Specification & Submittal Support

We provide the documentation your project requires — from initial film specification through owner handoff. Everything is manufacturer-sourced and ready for your submittal package.

Browse all product data sheets & CSI specifications →

CSI-Style Specifications

We provide CSI-format window film specifications for Division 08 submittals — including film type, manufacturer, product code, performance data, and installation method. Ready to drop into your spec package.

Product Data Sheets

Official manufacturer data sheets for every film we specify — IRR, TSER, VLT, UV rejection, visible light reflectance, thickness, and adhesive type. All performance values are from certified third-party testing.

Warranty Documentation

Manufacturer warranty documentation registered in your client's name on project completion. We provide written warranty confirmation and instruction documentation for owner handoffs and closeout packages.

LEED & Energy Documentation

Window film contributes to LEED credits in the Energy & Atmosphere and Indoor Environmental Quality categories. We provide performance documentation to support your project's energy and sustainability reporting.

DLO Measuring

We measure every Daylight Opening on-site before film is cut or ordered. Accurate DLO measurement eliminates waste, ensures clean edges, and prevents the mis-cut issues that can delay a close.

Glazing Compatibility Assessment

We evaluate every glass type before specifying film — tempered vs. non-tempered, Low-E coatings, insulated units, impact glass, and specialty glass. The wrong film on the wrong glass creates thermal stress and warranty issues. We identify and avoid those combinations.

Technical Assessment

Glazing Compatibility Matters

The wrong film on the wrong glass creates thermal stress, voids glass warranties, and can cause field failures. We evaluate every glass type in the specification before film is selected — not after it is installed.

Impact Glass

Requires evaluation

Laminated hurricane-rated glass requires low-absorption film. Ceramic films that absorb infrared heat can create thermal stress on the PVB interlayer. We specify reflective films for impact glass applications.

Low-E Insulated Units

Coating assessment required

Standard Low-E double-pane glass is compatible with most films. Triple silver Low-E coatings on non-tempered, non-insulated glass require careful film selection to avoid additional thermal loading.

Tempered Glass

Standard evaluation

Tempered glass has higher thermal stress tolerance and accepts a wider range of film types. We confirm tempering status before specifying high-performance or darker films.

Annealed / Non-Tempered

Constrained selection

Non-tempered glass is more sensitive to thermal differential. Film selection is more constrained — we specify accordingly and document the basis of design.

Laminated Safety Glass

Standard evaluation

Common in commercial applications. Compatible with most film types. We assess the specific laminate construction and adhesive compatibility before specifying.

Specialty & Patterned Glass

Case by case

Decorative, textured, or patterned glass requires film specified for compatibility with the surface. We assess each application individually.

Impact glass note for Southwest Florida: Naples and Bonita Springs construction is predominantly impact-glass. Ceramic films that work by absorbing infrared heat create surface temperature spikes that stress the laminated PVB interlayer. We specify reflective sputtered films for all impact glass applications — and we document the basis of design in the submittal.

Commercial Projects

Bid Support & Project Coordination

From RFP through punch list, we support the full project lifecycle. We work directly with your team — not just the owner — and provide the documentation and coordination your project requires.

  • Film specification and product selection for RFPs and bid documents
  • Competitive pricing with volume and trade discounts
  • Submittal packages including data sheets, SDS, and warranty terms
  • Mock-up installations for owner or design team review before full project
  • Coordination with glass subcontractors and GC schedules
  • Phased installation scheduling to match construction milestones
  • Punch-list and final walk support at project close
  • Warranty registration and owner documentation on completion
Decorative Film

Design Consultation & Custom Manufacturing

For projects requiring decorative or privacy glass film — entry doors, office partitions, shower enclosures, conference rooms, and architectural feature glass — Naples Tint Company has a capability no competitor in Southwest Florida can match.

Our sister company, Custom Glass Window Films, operates a UV printing production facility behind our Naples showroom. We produce 21 proprietary glass texture designs and full-color custom printed film — on-site, in Naples — for bespoke applications that no national catalog can supply.

Glass Texture Replication

21 proprietary textures UV-printed on optically clear film. Replicates the look of etched, reeded, or leaded glass at a fraction of the cost.

Full-Color Custom Printing

Custom artwork, branded patterns, or architectural scenes printed to specification. No catalog limitations.

Privacy Configurations

Gradient, frosted, lower-third, or full-panel privacy in any opacity. Designer-specified, field-installed.

Samples & Design Review

We bring curated design samples to your office or project site. Every project is custom-tailored after a direction is established.

Compliance Service

Sea Turtle Lighting Compliance

Coastal window-film requirements depend on local ordinances and permit conditions. Fort Myers Beach’s current guidance calls for glass at 45% visual transmittance or less plus window coverings. We confirm your project requirements before specifying film.

We install compliant window film throughout Southwest Florida and provide written compliance documentation referencing manufacturer specifications for your inspector. Glass railing compliance is included — a detail that frequently delays COs on coastal projects.
